Today I noticed a new marketing strategy with two of my favorite Half / Full Marathons. It’s called the California Dreamin’ Series and it involves the San Francisco Marathon, Long Beach Marathon, and Surf City Marathon.
If a runner signs up for all three (either Half or Full Marathons) and complete all three within a [...]

This weekend has been a great training weekend. I feel I covered a lot of territory and feel good about my progress.
Friday evening I was fortunate enough to leave work early with the early market close and cleaned the apartment while Super Husband worked. I thought I would get in a nap before [...]

Back to Business

Sunday was back to training business with a 22 mile ride around West LA. My friends and I got out early before the sun scorched us. Since we rode through the city streets – with many stops and starts, I felt a bit of strain in my calf and ankle from kicking out [...]

I went home and met Super Husband. Since his hunger [...]

Today was the 11th Annual Volvo City of Angels Fun Ride. I decided at the last minute to do this ride; I have been contemplating it for about a month but kept procrastinating. After Super Husband and I cranked out an amazing (and invigorating) 11 mile run yesterday, I felt good enough where [...]

Rest Easy

After Monday’s swim I decided to take Tuesday as a rest day. I definitely needed it, my body felt a bit exhausted after the swim. I even cut the Masters class short by 10 minutes and called it a night after putting in 50 laps. The IM intervals felt good – stretching [...]
