Today was the Los Angeles Cancer Challenge (5k or 10k). Last year I ran the 10k for the first time and really liked the course, the volunteers, and the Halloween spirit – so this year, Super Husband and I decided to run the 10k. Yesterday we drove to the West LA VA and [...]

Swimming: Oxygen is Overrated

Yesterday was Master’s swim class and it was the toughest yet. We did intervals and drills I never did before – (and a few exhausting ones I have done before!).
The first half hour was the usual warm-up. The pool started with just a few of us in the pool. About ten minutes [...]

Yesterday was a dreary gray day – with a substantial chance of rain. This [...]

The Sounds of Silence

The past month has been pretty quiet around here. Super Husband has been traveling and I am filling my time with training until I pass out – or laziness until I fall asleep (depending on the day).
Last weekend I was fortunate enough to have my Better Half along side me as we took on [...]
