…the bike and trainer is moved so the tree can fit in the corner.

The past few days were very relaxing. We both worked – but took Thursday as a day to get in a good workout. I watched the recorded Vs channel’s Ironman USA (Lake Placid). Holy cow – talk about rain, [...]

This past weekend was Ironman Arizona. It was an amazing weekend from my Spectator’s viewpoint.
Big Brother flew in Thursday a.m. to compete in his second Ironman within the past 10 weeks. Amazing. I flew in Thursday night – all set to spectate and take in that surroundings. Unfortunately I developed an [...]

It’s official….I signed up to join 3000 others bicycle 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The funds raised for AIDS LifeCycle helps find an end to AIDS.
I look forward to this challenging journey – and I won’t lie…I am very intimidated.

The past two days I spent a fair amount of [...]

Spirit of the Marathon

Super Husband and I just watched the inspiring movie “Spirit of the Marathon”.
It is an amazing, touching documentary that follows pro marathoners and marathon virgins alike.
We really enjoyed the emotional journey that each athlete takes. Also, how very personal each step of every marathoner’s journey is….
To anyone who has done a marathon, thinking about [...]

Return of the Living Dead

I just had one of those weeks that make you feel “one step forward, three steps back”.
A week ago I was so proud of my time in all three disciplines – the tough pool intervals… Alas, this past week I was plagued with really bad allergy and sinus pressure headaches. I didn’t get [...]
